Saturday Chats

For this Saturday Chat I want to talk about anxiety.

I know for some people, they don’t think it’s  legitimate.

For others, it’s incredibly real, as they suffer from anxiety.

Let me just say this.

Even if you experience these things or not, stop judging people.

Just because you haven’t personally experienced certain feelings does not mean in any way that they do not exist. What could be hard for one person could be easy for the someone else.

No matter what the situation is, just be a nice human being.

Be a good friend, be there for people. Half of the time, we all just want a shoulder to cry on, someone to listen. Be that person. It might not seem like you’re doing that much, but you’re saving someone in the way they need to be saved.

I posted another cover on YouTube dedicated to the people who suffer from anxiety. I present to you Mad World by Gary Jules, you can watch it here.

Make a difference.

Until next time,

Chloe

So for this week’s Saturday chat I just wanted to talk about how I got a tattoo recently. It was my first tattoo and I’m absolutely in love with it.

It was something I have definitely considered about for a while but I was happy that I finally got it done. Overall I had a very pleasant experience.

If you guys are ever considering to get a tattoo I would say definitely bring a friend and helps if you have the moral support I had another fellow blogger with me Jazmine and it was really awesome to have her there.

The tattoo didn’t take more than five minutes it didn’t really hurt too bad but then again I did get a small one. The tattoo artist told me that it would just feel like a bee sting and since I’ve never been stung by a bee I don’t know exactly what that feels like but personally I thought it felt like getting a shot and so it was like being injected with a needle and just kind of having the need move around in your skin. So it was uncomfortable but it wasn’t unbearable.

Make sure that you’re very open with your tattoo artist and tell them what you want exactly. Also don’t be afraid to tell them that you’re uncomfortable because they want you to feel relaxed about the whole situation.

The guy who did my tattoo was very considerate and asked me if I needed a break at any point.

It was an overall a pretty fun experience, it wasn’t nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be.

Another tip one of my coworker shared with me is if you’re considering on getting a tattoo get the picture of that tattoo as your wallpaper and keep it as your wallpaper for a month and if you still like it after that month is up then get it because you will be used to seeing it every day.
Until next time,

Chloe

Hey. What’s Up. Hello.

Let’s see, what to chat about.

How about I just give you all a run down of what’s going on behind the scenes.

I’ve been working about forty hours this week, including a couple of graveyard shifts. Hence the delay in posts. I’m tired of making excuses though. This is what I love to do, and even if I’m working a lot or out exploring, I will always make time for this blog.

With that said, even though I’ve been working a lot, my mind is still busy creating. I’ve recently decided to challenge myself musically by covering and posting as many of my favorite Disney songs as I can. So far, I’m having a lot of fun doing this. Today was my first and only full day off in a while and I spent it writing and singing.

I’m also currently working on an essay about something that I feel very strongly about. Sadly, I can’t say what it exactly is quite yet, but I’m very excited to be sharing it with you all. Here’s a hint I can give you about the topic: acceptance.

I always have a notebook with me to brainstorm ideas because let’s face it, I have a new idea every day. I’m researching things to best support these future projects that I hope will be something of value to you. Many of these projects are all revolving around self-improvement.

Everything I write, everything I share with you all are things that I am very passionate about, and I feel like these things that I experience are things that I have learned so much from.

Until next time,

Chloe

You guys.

This Saturday Chat, all I can say is how  excited I am for tonight. I’m seeing Alan Cumming perform tonight and my inner theater nerd is freaking the hell out.

For those of you who are not that into theater, Alan Cumming played Floop in Spy Kids. He’s most known for his role as emcee in Cabaret on Broadway. He’s an adorable Scottish man who has been through hell and back.

In his novel, Not My Father’s Son, he talks about the physical and verbal abuse he suffered as a child from his father.

He has overcome so much and is extremely talented. The show starts at 8, and I will be posting updates and photos on my Instagram iamfashioncoco so make sure to follow me! I’ll do a photo diary about it next week, I’m so excited!

Until next time,

As always, it’s been a very busy week and soon to be weekend.

I’ve been creating a bucket list of all the things I want to see in Seattle, and I’m very excited to explore the emerald city. I’ve visited the city many times before, but now that it’s my home there’s many hidden gems that need to be seen. Virtually, I hope to give you the Seattle experience and allow us to explore together. Another plus about my list that I’ve created is that a majority of the activities are free, which is great if you’re exploring on a budget. If they do cost anything, it’s under $20.

I’ve already visited a couple places, which I will have a photo diary of next week.

Stay tuned!

Until next time,

Chloe

Saturday Chats

Oh gosh, this is going to be an interesting Saturday Chat, probably more announcements than anything else. So basically, I’ve been up here in Washington for about two weeks now, and I’m still getting acclimated to everything. For one of those weeks I was very sick and then the following week I started working full time. So everything has been a blur. I have a lot of other things going on behind the scenes too so I’m keeping as busy as I possibly can.

After many requests, I’ve decided to open up a men’s department on my etsy shop. I’m very excited about this, since it’s attracting such a different crowd. I already have some new beads coming in for this department, including gunmetal, copper, and black onyx.

I’m also getting back into my music roots, so hopefully I will be posting more covers soon. It’s such a great feeling to get in touch with a side of myself that I lost sight of for a while.

And lastly, I am beginning a music section on my blog exclusively with local bands, artists and musicians. I already have one band interested which I am more than ecstatic about, I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am.

That’s all for this very late Saturday Chat,

Until next time,

Chloe

Hello everyone!

I’m settling down here in Seattle little by little. I’m still adjusting but everything has been running smoothly. I was reading all the interviews that I have collected for my Spread the Love Hide the Hate movement and I got to thinking.

I definitely want to add more collections of interviews to my blog, I just haven’t decided what exactly I want them all to be. I know for sure that I am going to start a music section on my blog. Not just like our Music Monday’s, but I want to interview new and upcoming musicians. I’m going to interview them about their music, their origin, etc. Something along the lines of a “Meet the Band” ordeal. I’ve already began interviewing one band, and I am completely ecstatic. Everything seems like it’s falling into place wonderfully.

I also want to start an artists section soon, focusing on actors, dancers and singers. It will coincide a little with the music section. I like to consider myself an artist as well, I love to sing, play the piano, craft, perform, and more. The idea of meeting artists from all over and having the chance to expose their passion for the world to see gives my soul life.

If you, or someone you know would be interested, please please please feel free to contact me so we can set up an interview and get more beautiful art into this world!

Until next time,

Chloe

Hello everyone!

I was thinking really hard about what I wanted today’s chat to be about and I think I’ve come up with a good topic: opportunity.

My life has been changing in so many ways in the course of 3 weeks. It’s been a hell of a ride, with some very low downs, but very right ups. And now, I’m happy to say that I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to move to one of my favorite cities. I can’t begin to say how excited am to see what the future holds for me, a whole new chapter, a whole new life is about to begin. I’m going to meet new friends, suitors, coworkers, and I can’t wait.

My main point is this: if you live a life where you are presented with chances that don’t scare you enough then you’re not living right. This move is terrifying to me because it’s new, but I’m thinking of all the good things that lie ahead of me and you should too! What have you been lingering for? What’s something you have always wanted to try? Do it! Nothing is holding you back. You are young, and beautiful and confident and strong. Go live a life full of adventures so you won’t find yourself looking back thinking of all these things that you didn’t do.

Long story short, change is scary. But I guarantee you, a majority of the time it’s the better option. You are responsible for your own happiness, so make it happen.

Until next time,

Chloe

First things first, before we get into this post, here’s somethings you should know about me:

I’m a very passionate person. I love to sing, it gives me an indescribable feeling that I can’t feel with anything else.

Almost 2 years ago, I got a scholarship to attend a music theater camp in Yosemite for the summer. It was my first time in Yosemite, and I was completely mesmerized by all of its beauty. I’m typically pretty shy when it comes to performing in front of people, so this camp really brought me out of my shell. One of the choreographers we had was a five time Emmy award winner. Yes, she was tough, and even made me cry. But in the end, I thanked her. In my mind, this was my version of the military. She completely broke me down then built me back up to be this unbelievably confident person I didn’t know I could be.

I’ve been reminiscing about performing a lot lately, watching my videos on YouTube and such. I miss that feeling, that nervous, exciting, thrilling feeling. I want to feel that feeling again. I’m thinking of posting covers as much as I can to get back into the swing of things. I’m pretty excited about it, because I feel like I’ve lost touch with this side of my self and I can’t wait to get it back.
